I went to renew my residential visa at 8.30 this morning as the brilliant staff always say come early. I did but the guards said it was closed until saturday is this a fact? 04/12/2020

Crowdy place with no organization whatsoever. They speak little to no English. Hire a translator before going. The ladies are more kind than the guys. The guys can be very rude and disrespectful! The old ladies and old men rude too!! No toilets there. Go as early as possible or else you'll spend your whole day there waiting and at the end of the day they can tell you go and come back tomorrow. If you don't speak Arabic, they may forget you and tell you to wait until they finish with everyone and serve you at the end to spare themselves the embarrassment of not speaking English in front of many people. Don't expect kindness from this place. Gather all your papers before going. You need two copies of your passport data page, two copies of the following: 1. Passport data page (first page of your passport where your picture appears) 2. Passport page of latest arrival to Egypt 3. The page of arrival must show the red triangle stamp of arrival otherwise you'll pay a fine of around 900EGP 4. One recent photo passport (photo of your face from head to neck) 5. Paper from your university to tell immigration department to give you visa for a specified period of time. Please go as early as possible. Don't take taxi it is not safe. Just 1 employee speaks English and that in an immigration office. Employees Unfriendly and the favorite answers are "I don't know and come again in 10 days"

It was not fast but organized You need 360 EGP, 3 personal photos, copy or your old passport and copy of the National identification number card and you should have the original to make a new passport The process time is 4 days and it is a fixed thing
