Stay in a Nubian village with a family. Excellent choice in place to stay. You walk among citizens and at no point will feel like a tourist. Comfortable bed- and as a saw mentioned below - a real snuggly comforter. Opt for the breakfast that is sold there. If going out early they will provide a breakfast box. I'd advise to book Abu Simbel through here as it will be cheaper than an guide can provide. If they can find others going you will be paired with them and it will lessen the cost. Just let them know before coming that you are interested as you'll need to send a copy of your passport. Highly recommend here for a stay. Note that the ferry is 5LE each way. If you are staying like a week or so I think you can prepay and for ferry and it's cheaper. Aswan museum and the nile-o-meter is close to this guest house. Do the evening boat trip with Mohammed if offered. The views are amazing!!

We arrive a day late because of a mix up with our transport. Within an hour of arrival my wife fell over and hurt her arm real bad. It was pitch dark and we didn't know what to do. The owner took us to 4 different hospitals and sorted everything out. Fantastic hospitality, lovely family, excellent guest house. 5 star service.
Very nice place
Staying in the hotel really let me know about Egyptians. They like talking, but you don't know forever which sentence is true, which sentence is lie. So don't trust anybody, including the hotel. Be sure before starting, read as much experience written by others as possible.
Best place to stay there rooms have such fluffy blankets you will enjoy sleeping with. Your rooms will be on rooftops with view the river nile is very beautiful.
