Very good place to go with your family for playing and drink and eat
A safe haven in the middle of the terribly crowded and noisy main Shubra street. The place is clean and easy to access being only 50 m off the main street, served by young and very polite staff. Though not furnished with luxury in mind, it still has its own charm give and take simplicity mixed with good taste. For those who know what Armenian hospitality well, you'll get what you'd expect from an Armenian club minus the booze.
The club deserves its five stars because it lives to its promise of being simultaneously East, Armenian and being located in Shubra. The Armenian influence can still be perceived in the architecture, which remains a difficult component to define: subtle touches of fine artistry are detected in masonry, wall construction and even the location which is discretely chosen in a side street, yet only 50 m from the noisy and crowded main Shubra Street. Even the entrance is angled to keep it off prying eyes. The atmosphere is both jovial and cordial, making it very welcoming, almost like home. Staff (now Copts instead of Armenians) is very helpful, decent, clean and sociable maintaining the characteristic tradition of warm Armenian hospitality. Very affordable and certainly a most pleasant experience !
