Very nice if u go during the week and early in the day because it's not crowded. Be prepared to negotiate.

Every visit to the place has its own flavour, such a cultural mix, full of energy and varieties of all good things. A prime location to be visited in Cairo.

One of the most remarkable spots in old cairo, full of bazaars and shops for antiques and also you will see some features of the architectural works in fatimid era ,the people and the place there will remind you with an old time

If you're visiting Cairo, this should be third on your list after the Giza Plateau with the Pyramids/Sphinx and the Museum. Huge outdoor market and bazaar where you haggle over just about anything from spices to a Persian rug. Easy to spend a whole morning simply wandering around and taking in the incredible atmosphere. DON'T visit in the afternoon as it's usually too hot and crowded.

We visited Khan El Khalili market in the afternoon (in January 2019). It’s the most famous market, which is located in the heart of Cairo. In this colourful market of oriental style, we saw varied spices, vegetables/fruits, perfume with many blends of fragrances and essential oils, handcrafted rugs, workshops, gold and antique shops. It was an exotic walk!

Amazing espically if you go early in the morning for site visits to the heritage locations and ruins. Does get a lot of traffic around 12 to 3 pm

Very nice place if you like to be catcalled and whistled at. Prices are fine I guess. Be careful about buying jewels, they say they are real but I’m very skeptical that they are.
