This is the first time I have gone to a restaurant during a soft launch. Like opening night of a show, there are a few things that will improve with time. Mario's is located upstairs from the office I work in, so a very convenient location. There are only a few restaurants within walking distance, especially during the heat of an Egyptian summer day. They did a great job with the theme. The colors and decor all go along with the video game. There was even an employee dressed as Luigi. The bill came in a yellow question mark box! The end of the menu says, "Game Over". I ordered a strawberry and banana smoothie to drink. I had tried to order the Mexican Feteer (from the Mario's creation menu) but they were missing an ingredient so I ordered the M-M-Meat burger without cheese. They have lots of pizza, burger, sandwich, salad, and feteer options. I will have to try their dessert in the future. The burger had multiple types of meat in it and a pepper slice. The burger came with fries. It was really good. I wish they had mustard for the fries. They had ketchup, but I don't like ketchup very much. The smoothie was also good. My meal cost 109 EGP, including VAT and service charge. Their credit card machine wasn't working, but I had cash. The manager, who was the only one who spoke English, apologized about the credit card machine and asked me how the food was. The beanbags are comfortable, but the table is really low, making it awkward to eat at. It does, however, make it feel like a retro gaming den. So, maybe comfort can be sacrificed for the theme. At midday (in August) it's fairly hot, but I was in the shade. Edit: the place has gone downhill since the launch. Service is slow. They recently started offering hookah, which I imagine is meant to increase business. I was in the elevator with a waiter and he was smoking in the elevator! I won't go there again.
I went at the time of the soft opening. I sat on the roof; it's a great place for an outing with a group of friends on a summer night. Very cosy beanbags, music choice wasn't too bad. What was bad, though, was the food. It came badly made and cold. We were asked about our opinions, and we gave very honest reviews. They gave us a 50% discount as a compensation, which was very nice of them.

The place was over crowded we asked for food and drinks we received the food average quality , then the drinks was not served .. however the manager removed the minimum as an apology which was a nice gesture. Its somehow a teenager place but its so lovely to enjoy the sky and open view. Recommend for casual outings.
One of the most amazing roof-top hang outs. Loved the place, drinks, sheesha, fries (since it's what we ate), atmosphere, and most importantly "friendly staff"... Every single detail is done so nicely, yet so simply. I will definitely go there again !
Absolutely loved Mario's! Everything from the decor, staff and menu - they have paid attention to the smallest details! The rooftop is the perfect place to spend an afternoon or evening with friends. The atmosphere is so fun and the food is delicious. The pizza pops are a must try!!
Very rude waiters, Average food quality, Forces you to pay minimum charge before ordering or else you are asked to leave. I've never been this disrespected in my entire life.
