Helmy eye hospital , started in May 2001 under the name of Cornea & Laser Eye Center , The center gained a great popularity in corrective eye surgery whether by Excimer laser or by other different surgical techniques , the center also gained a very high reputation in corneal transplant surgery as the leading center in Egypt in such surgery getting donor corneas from the united states . Needless to say the center was equipped with both staff and equipment to do a lot of other surgeries such as corneal surgery , cataract surgeries by the most modern techniques , glaucoma surgery , all kinds of plastic surgeries and retinal surgeries .In 2013 Cornea & laser eye center upgraded its services and turned into an eye hospital to cover all eye specialties and surgeries.
