NatureTex is a garment and textile company founded in 1994 to produce organic textiles using high quality Egyptian cotton. The company manufactures various high quality products out of 100% organic cotton and linen, including fabric, underwear and sleepwear, casual clothes, accessories, dolls and toys, flat knit, crochet thread and home textiles such as bedding and spa items. NatureTex is one of the five subsidiaries of the SEKEM Group which has an international reputation in sustainable development and has won numerous awards for its social and environmental initiatives including the Right Livelihood award and Schwab Outstanding Social Entrepreneur Award. At NatureTex we are passionate about of promoting a fairer and more sustainable supply chain which recognizes and values all actors, from farmer to sower. We source cotton from all over Egypt cultivated according to Biodynamic principles, which generates jobs and a higher income for Egyptian farmers while helping to mitigate land degradation. We are dedicated to offering our workers ethical working conditions and fair wages, and regularly hold workshops, vocational training and literacy courses which offer our employees continuous opportunities to develop their skills or knowledge.
