Giza subway station & Giza railway station is change over station. I traveled for Aswan from here but it's extremely confusing to Traking the train. You can't understand the Arabic announcement. No one answerable no display board. Lots of train coming & going. It's really hard to catch train without local guide. You just follow any tourist group with a guide & take his help no others way.

Just be careful, if you are not living here in Giza. This metro station is at the very beginning of Haram St. and it is 7 kilos away from the pyramids. I don't recommend it if you wanna visit the pyramids since the Haram St. is mostly busy, take a taxi and use the ring road instead.

I see many tourists lost in that area as they think it is where they should get off the train in their journey to the Pyramids of Giza. Listen guys, it is the nearest point to get off the train, But, it is not close enough the pyramids. You are still 2 hours walk away from the pyramids. You will need to get off and then take a taxi, local buses are tricky and many of them goes to local villages outside of the city. Taxi from there to the pyramids will cost you only 10-20 Egyptian pounds ( 2-3 us dollars). Don't make it hard for yourself or the tiredness of the journey will take your pleasure away.
