Good university with green squares
Underfunded and heavily overcrowded. No strict enforcement of face masks or social distancing. Male students from other faculties, mostly law and commerce, hang around to harrass Arts students who are mostly young ladies. Some staff smoke cigrattes despite the pandemic conditions and the government ban on smoking in public institutions. Others refuse to put on masks without incurring any penalties from the Dean. IMPORTANT: There are two FAWRY cashpoints within the premises.
Don't recommend
Awful
Faculty of Arts dates back to 1908 when Al-Ahliyya University was founded. This university began its life with lectures in general culture delivered by professors from Egyptians and foreigners. As a result of the high hopes of Al-Ahliyya University, which expressed the aspirations of the Egyptians, the government considered in 1917 the establishment of a public university. The Faculty of Arts should be the nucleus of this university. On March 11, 1925, a decree was issued to establish a public university in the name of the Egyptian University. It was composed of four faculties: Arts, Science, Medicine and Law
