ZFilmmers is the first and only start-up in Upper Egypt promoting the film-making industry. ZFilmmers start-up was founded with the launching of our first event on April 30st 2017, which was the first event on film-making in Minya and Upper Egypt. We mainly create creative content and produce our own independent short films and documentaries, and teach the community the art of visual storytelling and film-making through actually "making films"​, aka Hands-On Learning. Since then, we planned on building a community in which film-making and the creative industry are more accessible. This was through 101 session of the film-making process, film screenings and discussion and workshops on creative writing, cinematography and editing. Most of the events cost less than 20 Le, to make it easier for more people to come and know what is actually film-making. Until now we organized +10 different workshops and 101 sessions and info sessions for raising brand awareness. We managed to gather +100 community members actually interested in learning film-making. The next step for us is to enhance their abilities with more profound and specific learning strategies. Considering the long process of bringing people closer to art in general and film-making in specific and to consider an actual field of working and can be taken as a career, you can see that we have a bit of long way to do so. With simple one-day- competitive events and film festivals that we’re planning for this summer, we believe we can get faster and closer to our audience.
