Friendly staff and good material. The guys carry your sail to the water. Great reliable wind. Tides make lagoon to low tonsail at times requiring pushing of board for about 100m. Also an awesome center for Kiteboarding.

Next to luxury hotel Sentido Palm Royale, Soma Bay. Windsurfing I truly recommend this place both for kitesurf & windsurf. There is great lagoon for windsurfing and kiteboarding ( separated zones). For advanced surfers there is plenty of place to windsurf in sea and for beginners there is great lagoon. The only thing what I want note is that there could be shortage of windsurfing boards. I had to wait a week till I get a board. Pls don't do my mistake and reserve a board via web page in advance. But I had a chance to learn kiteboarding till I waited for windsurfing board. Kiteboarding What a great experience! In 3 days I have learned waterstart and started a bit ride. In next days I felt more confident and could easily do waterstart and ride on both sides, also I learned how to ride upwind and downwind. My trainer was Khaled. I do recommend him very much. He is very technical in details and it helps easily understand how to control kite. I'm a windsurfer (advance level) and for me was important to understand kitesurfing details, but not in bla, bla, bla style, but when trainer explains you in practice on water. I also have to notice that I had extremely bad experience with kite before when I tried to learn myself and I fly up few meters on a field with 14 meter kite and I landed quite painfully. Khaled had to overcome my previous bad & painful experience. He told me that I'm very stressed and I need to relax. He teached me how to find sweet point and feel confident with kite. And finally I got that feeling of relax and freedom with kite. My husband also took a lessons and learned to do waterstart and ride on both sides. His trainer was Mostafa. He also recommends him. Just want to add that my husband is almost 2m tall and 96kg, it is more difficult to learn for people who are heavy. But he succeed and big thanks to Mostafa.

Surfmotion, Peter Müller Windsurfing Staff was great, from the first contact I had with Mahmoudi trough email and the very professional aproach I discoverd troughout the whole station. Hassan guided me around the station, showed me where and how to find everything, showed and explained the inns and outs of the spot on a map etc...This is how a windsurfstation in Egypt should be ran everywhere. Polite, tech advise, accomodation (toilets, showers, my wife much appreciated the free sunbeds ;) ...) Equipment, service of the beachboys, give a hand everythime you bring in or out your gear. Security boat out on the water constantly. Not to mention the spot itself. This is by far the best flatwater spot at this side of the red sea! Only big problem I found out here: I should have come here years ago!
