Awful, went to apply for visa after 14 day free one. Only option was 6 month one for tourism. Costs 1700egp, no cash machine here. You need photocopies of passport but can do downstairs in police station. Once you've paid you are told to come back after 2 weeks. Staff are unhelpful and rude in their defence I don't speak Arabic though.

No need to pay anything and only need passport for 1 month extension. If you want a 6 month visa you have to pay processing fee which is 60 pounds as for February 2021. You cannot pay with card. Only cash and closest ATM is 15 minutes walking. They accept USD as well. It's weird not to accept card payments in 2021. Make 4 copies of your main passport page 3 copies of a page with arrival stamp. Visa fee is about 1700 pounds but paid later.
Obtaining a visa here is quick (turn around 2 days), however the office is very chaotic. There needs to be an efficient system in place to get people in and out. Signs with step by step instructions in English (at least) are needed, since the staff refuse to communicate. They need to hire staff that can speak some English since they are dealing with people from all over the world. Staff needs training on how to be courteous and how to act professional.

The earlier you go the more busy it will be keep in mind they close at 14.00hrs so choose your time careful. As a foreigner you will get further knowing some basic Arabic and Arabjc greetings. Be very polite patient and smile and have positive body language you will get lots further.
Были 9 декабря 2021 года Продлевали на месяц визу - людей было много, человек 40 - вышел полицейский, в зависимости от паспорта ( Украина, Казахстан, Литва, Белорусии) и срока продления визы собрал и ушёл. - Вышел минут через 15 и раздал паспорта. - Все было в зоне ожидания, там же были стульчики для ожидания. Все заняло один час. ( с 10:30 до 11:30) Добирались со старого города на маршрутке - 15 фунтов, туда и обратно. От перекрёстка прошлись пешком в одну сторону за 15 минут.
Сегодня продлевали Визу, оказалось все просто. Месяц назад мы прилетели в Шарм, сразу купили визу за 25 Сегодня приехали в 10 утра в офис продлевать, вход находится с правой стороны здания, на втором этаже. Очередей не было. Мы отдали паспорта в 4е окошко, сказали что продлеваем первый раз. Нам поставили синий штамп, написали дату до которой действует продление, и на этом все. Никаких взносов и квитанций не нужно было оплачивать.
