El Jawahara Group is a pioneering Egyptian company in the field of production, packaging and distribution of high quality tea, potato chips, snacks, biscuits and more food products. With its factories located in Housh Issa and El Kom El Akhdar in Behera and New Borg El Arab in Alexandria. The Company was established in 1979 and started packaging the best tea imported from Sri lanka, Kenya and India . A factory for packaging tea was established in New Borg El Arab, Alexandria, equipped with top of the line production and packaging lines which made El Jawhara Tea a trademark of quality linked with the Egyptians. In 1995 the Company established a factory for producing Snacks from milled corn and a factory for producing potato chips from the finest potatoes cultivated in the company's farms and watered by the Nile River. In 1999 the company expanded into the manufacturing of sweets by adding new manufacturing lines of Gum and toffee. In 2000 the biggest Biscuit factory in the Middle East was opened by the company and started producing best biscuits products followed by the adding of new advanced production lines of Chocolate, Lollipop and BonBon in 2003. In 2008, the company imported the best high capacity production line for producing potato chips. This line is considered an addition to the production quantity and quality. Since then the company updated multiple production lines and added new ones as part of its commitment to High quality products, environmental awareness and ISO-based manufacturing processes. Also to keep up with the rapid technological advancements in the food production and to keep the company's position as a leader in the food industries field.
