The tram terminal is simple and almost insignificant, yet every tile and stone oozes history. You may find this statement lame, but if you're sensitive enough to tune yourself to feel, listen and absorb vibes of ancient times, then it's a spot to visit. It takes a couple of minutes to take in such energy, but it's a unique feeling that you rarely find anywhere else. Undescribable but oh so rewarding! The 4 star rating is due to the litter, trash and garbage piled around the place, ruining the experience. Ride the Alexandria tramway for an hour and you're guaranteed to be transformed. Transformed into what? Surprise!

Neglected heritage of the Alexandria tramway which is why the rating is limited to four stars. In fact, the tramway is fully operational despite its aging infrastructure and is a popular and astonishingly affordable means of transportation for many people in Alexandria. The ride is very pleasant and typically 'yesteryear', which gives it its very peculiar character. Tickets cost approximately 10 cents. Sidi Bishr is a nostalgic station that reflects much of antique Alexandria: architecture, streets, ambiance, vehicles, transport, vendors, peddlers and surprisingly dwellers
