After completing their education between Egypt, Switzerland and Germany, the three partners founded CONTRAST Designs to offer their interdisciplinary experience in architectural design and professional engineering and construction services. CONTRAST Designs is further distinguished by a range of multi-disciplinary partnerships and collaborations with outstanding qualified specialist engineering offices. With representatives in UAE, Qatar, Germany, and UK, their work spans across the globe from the Middle East to Europe. Over the years, CONTRAST Designs has built a wide reputation in innovation and gained international recognition due to its dedication to design excellence with international standards of quality. CONTRAST Designs covers a wide range of project types from large residential master-plans, commercial and administrative buildings, hotels and hospitality, religious facilities, to private home interiors and landscapes. The practice provides a full range of design services covered through all project phases including: - Master-planning - Architectural Design - Interior & Furniture Design - Landscape Design In 2012, the practice was awarded the Hasan Fathy Award for Architecture, considered the most prestigious award in Egyptian architecture. And in 2013, they were awarded the Young Architects Award from the SEA. Their work has been published and exhibited internationally, and most recently in Domus Magazine, the Rotterdam Biennale of Architecture 2009, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2009, and at the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2008.
