Avoid at all cost!!!! If you want to be received by a staff who complains you take too much time to chose more than 10 items, barely acknowledges your presence and answers your polite questions with exasperation while ending up asking you to chose other items because the ones you picked are defective without offering to help....if you want all that then I recommend you set foot in this overrated shop, a counter-product of the extreme mediocrity of the offer available in Cairo. Positive reviews from tourists who wander around the souk without needing to order or buy anything. Sad for a place with such a location and potential.

We visited this charming book binding shop whilst on holiday in Cairo from London. We bought keepsake handcrafted books for our children with their names embossed into the leather whilst we waited. We were able to choose the style and size of font and watch the craftsman personalise our books! We chose handmade, leather books with a scene of Al Azhar hand painted on the front cover... it is simply exquisite! This is our second visit here... we love it! Everyone should stop here when visiting Khan e khalili market to buy high quality gifts!
