The British University in Egypt is a private Egyptian university in El Sherouk, Cairo Governorate, Egypt. Founded in September 2005, through an inter governmental agreement, the University provides a British style of education and awards degrees validated by its partner UK universities and the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities. Located some 30 km from downtown Cairo, the campus covers approximately 40 acres (feddans) of land with some 27000 m² space of modern purpose-built teaching facilities.

Very good infrastructure and campus facilities at this university. Academic staff is of high caliber and curriculum is somewhat interactive. Rules and regulations are of good standard, though passing grades are a bit below competitive international levels. University staff members are friendly, yet information is sometimes challenging since not all required info is clearly visible on assigned boards/sites, and there are hardly information desks.

Attended the FLL robotic competition at BUE as a project and research judge. The uni is spacious, well equipped and designed, many majors available here and uni student union showed a great core values in helping for rooms and competition set ups. Enjoyed my time, and liked the site.

This is a very underrated University. I am currently a student at the BUE myself. I can therefore give you a more genuine review. The staff is very decent. The University is safe and well secured. It is very well equipped with supplies, facilities and study areas. For example, the University has it's own three story Library and study facility equipped with PCs and a countless number of books about each and every field of study. The University has its own student residence, a private pool, a huge food court, a football court and tennis courts. The study at the University is very decent, lecturers are very experienced and competent. Even in the current covid-19 situation study persisted from day one online. For that matter, the University is very responsible, reliable and considerate.
