The facility looks beautiful and professional. Unfortunately, my correspondence via email was not consistent or pleasant. I felt pressured to prematurely join a course when I stated explicitly that I could not start at that time. When I was able to start a course, I chose not to attend Hedayet because upon touring the place and having my placement exam, I felt unwelcome in that I should have had a deeper understanding of the language than what I had. I do not recommend especially at this price point.

Without a doubt, Hedayet Institute has the best languages courses you can find for the lowest cost in Cairo -- I spent 14 weeks studying Fusha, Egyptian Colloquial Arabic, Islamic Law, and Islamic Architecture here and learned a tremendous amount while getting to explore Cairo and other parts of Egypt. I always felt very supported by the staff, who went out of their way to make sure I was safe and comfortable. I never felt unsafe in Cairo, and took the metro frequently without any issue. I enjoyed my language classes, alongside specilized courses taught by professionals in the field. I can't wait to one day return to Cairo!

Hedayet Institute is easily the best value language school I have ever seen. As someone who has attended intensive language schools all over the world, the quality of the teaching, the small class sizes, the qualifications of the professors, and the wonderful staff make Hedayet Institute the cream of the crop. Their Classical Arabic and Colloquial Arabic classes involve practical language usage (not just focusing on completing a textbook) so that I was able to go from almost a complete beginner to conversational in just a couple months. Also, they have a slew of additional classes which are taught by experts in their respective fields - I took Islamic law and Qur'anic Interpretation, both of which were taught by PHD's in those topics, and both were some of the best educational experiences I have ever had. If you're looking for a personalized, friendly, and highly effective language program, Hedayet is the place for you.

Best teachers and it is really more than just learning Arabic, it’s the whole blend of learning about Middle East studies, Egyptian culture, history, cooking, fun trips, professional professors and very cheap compared to the other reputable institutions like AUC. I would highly recommend it for anyone who would really want to start speaking and understand Arabic in no time...it’s intense but so worth it. Love it.

Studied here for a couple of months. It was not without ups and downs, but overall it was a great experience. I particularly appreciated when they hired experts to conduct their specialized courses, and when they organized excursions for us to experience Egyptian life outside the classroom.

"I am glad I chose to study Arabic at Hedayet institute because the instructors are so patient and knowledgeable about a wide range of topics from history to Arabic literature, music to film and media and Egyptian popular culture. I have learned so much in such a short time and the relationship I’ve developed with my instructors is really valuable to me. I especially enjoyed my literature class because I am a graduate student in Comparative Literature. I never knew I was capable of reading difficult material in Arabic but the class made it easier and more simple for me. I was also very happy with my Egyptian colloquial and modern standard Arabic classes because my speaking & listening skills improved as we as my vocabulary and knowledge. I’ve learned many valuable skills. Thanks to the instructors at Hedayet for making my stay in Egypt amazing!" Summer 2017
