It is an important place to see especially that the access to it is very easy and free of charge. It is incredible how those huge monuments survived so many years and despite being damaged in earthquake they're still there, standing proudly.

We visited the Colossi of Memnon in January 2019. They are located at the entrance of Amenophos III, which has been totally destroyed. We were very impressed by these majestic 2 giant statues of 21 meters high and weighting 1300 tonnes each, that are composed of red quartz sands! It was a breathtaking visit!!!
This place is free and is really must visit of you are in Luxor. Here is short information from Wikipedia: The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned in Egypt during the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Since 1350 BCE, they have stood in the Theban Necropolis, located west of the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor.
A fantastic museum on the run you just have to stand in front for some minutes without paying a penny
